Bobcats rally with two back to back victories

After a disappointing loss to region foe and valley rival Logan, Sky View recorded a pair of key region wins. The Bobcats won a hard fought battle two weeks ago against the Box Elder Bees with a 28-23 victory in a Thursday night game. They followed that up this week with a pre-UEA weekend drubbing of the Ogden High Tigers by posting a 52-0 Wednesday night win.

Sky View moves to 7-2 for the season (4-1 in the region) after these two victories; and take sole possession of second place in the region.

Box Elder Game Summary

It took a full quarter for either team to score and Box Elder scored the first touchdown in this game. However, Sky View answered back with a Braxton Godderidge to Logan Miller 7 yard TD pass. A few minutes later the power running game produced the next score when Dane Anderson ground his way into the end zone on an 11 yard carry. Box Elder was forced to settle for a field goal and the first half ended with a slight 14-10 lead.

The third quarter was all Sky View who added a pair of touchdowns. The first saw Anderson score on the ground with an 8 yard carry. Next Miller hauled in a 58 yard Godderidge pass for another score.

Box Elder shut out in the third, bowed up to shut down the Bobcats in the fourth while putting up two scores of their own. Having missed on a two point conversion the clock ran out on the Bees and Sky View was victorious in a 28-23 shootout.

Logan Miller was named overall player of the game and defensive player of the game. Dane Anderson once again earned offensive player of the game honors.
