The Bobcats played a close first half, but pulled away in the second to defeat the Wolverines from Hunter High School 27-45 Friday night in their pre-season home opener.

Coming off a victory against Olympus last week, the Bobcats played a tough first half that was kept close by Sky View turn overs. The Bobcats went into the locker room up by a touchdown 21-28 after the Wolverines stalled on a late drive in the half.

The Wolverines had turn over troubles of their own and they were unable to overcome a tough Sky View offensive and defensive exhibition.

Head Coach Craig Anhder praised the effort of his team commenting that the results of this game are what happens when the Bobcats play with heart and out work their opponent.

Key offensive stats for the Bobcats:
- Skyler Hunt who had 13 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown, and added another 85 yards on 4 catches that resulted in another score. Hunt’s longest catch was for a 75 yard score.
- Daniel Lemon had 4 catches for 117 yards and a touchdown.
- Ethan Dursteller had a pare of catches, and a score
- Mitch Larsen grabbed a pass for a score.
- Braxton Godderidge went 18-for-25, tossing 4 touchdowns and and one interception.
- Nelson Griffiths was a perfect 6-for-6 on PAT’s and added three more points on a 27 yard field goal.

Defensive leaders:
- Brad Weaver had 6 solo tackles with 4 assists.
- Christian Fife had 5 solo tackles.
- Kyle Jorgenson had 5 solo tackles and 3 assists.
- McKay Milne had 5 solo tackles and 3 assists.
- Ethan Dursteller had 10 assists.
- Daniel Lemon block a punt that was returned for a touchdown.
- Christian Fife and McKay Milne each recorded interceptions.
