Healthy fun at Sky View's sprint triathlon
Friday’s break in the rain was just enough for 11 individuals and 7 teams to participate in a great triathlon at Sky View High School. It was the first of what Principal Swenson hopes will be an annual event called the Sky View Sprint Triathlon. Initiated/sposored by the Sky View PTSA, it was great fun for all the participants and supporters as they manuevered through the swimming pool, the bike course which included Smithfield Canyon, and the running course which had a killer hill right at the start. Breakfast cereal Van Gogh sparks national attention
Sky View students created a huge replica of Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night from breakfast cereal last week. Not only did they create a wonderful project, but they were also a hit on the Associated Press this weekend. (Continued…)

Boosters host luau fundraiser at Castle Manor

Good grades pay off for student at Sky View
SMITHFIELD—Allison Pope from Sky View High School learned good grades pay off when she won the Cache Valley-area drawing for a $100 scholarship savings account from Zions Bank’s Pays for A’s program. Pope received the surprise news about the scholarship during the morning school announcements from Zions Bank’s Smithfield branch manager Lynn Godderidge last Wednesday. (Continued…)

Nine SVHS students were honored on Tuesday, Feb 16 at a Student of the Month luncheon. The luncheon was held in the Presentation room at Sky View and was catered by Ann Lusk. What exactly is "We the People"?
It’s a Saturday morning, and thirty high school students are gathered in a Sky View classroom. Half of them are sprawled across desks, their noses buried in books. The other half are animatedly discussing free speech, federalism, healthcare, and a variety of other government related issues. Sky View cottage meeting Thursday in Newton
Sky View high school administration are holding Cottage Meetings throughout the community. Cottage meetings are informal get togethers with no planned agenda. Come and chat with Sky View administrators about your thoughts, ideas, concerns. Their plan is to simply listen and keep their ears close to the ground and hear from the community.
