SMITHFIELD — Casey’s Barber Shop has been a fixture on Main Street since 1973, but the barber is not named Casey. Seventy-seven-year-old Kendall Corbridge is the longtime owner of Casey’s Barber Shop. Corbridge has gone by Casey since he was young. Ever wonder about the castle-like building south of town? The one with all the windows, parapets and even a few fountains? It’s the new Castle Manor reception center built by Alan Elder. “We had actually been planning on doing this for about eighteen years,” said Elder at the open house held in January. “My wife went to Europe about ten years ago and she took pictures of all the castles.
