After losing a contact, suffering head clashes that lead to cuts and bandages, and battling into sudden death overtime Sky View junior wrestler Brayden Anderson held on to win his first 4-A state championship title in the 140 pound weight class, held at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem one week ago. Sky View wrestlers took 3rd at region, send 19 to division

Nineteen Sky View wrestlers are headed to Highland High School in Salt Lake City Friday and Saturday to compete in the north division tournament, just one week after the team took third in the regional tournament held at Logan High School. Having a regional and sectional tournament is a new format that gives the team an opportunity to qualify more athletes to compete in the state championship tournament that will be held next week in Orem at Utah Valley University (UVU) beginning Wednesday, February 10th and running through Friday February 12th. Sky View's Encore performance starts Thursday

Encore is the elite performing group at Sky View. Each year there is a new show full of old and new favorites. There is dancing, singing, live music and acting. This year’s show will be held in the Sky View auditorium from Thursday, March 11 through Saturday, March 13 and another show on Monday, March 15. The cost is $7 and the show starts at 7 p.m. You can call Sky View for tickets, buy them at the door, or reserve your seat at skyviewtix.org. (Continued…)

Fundraiser this Saturday at A&W for Dietrich Crosby

There is a fundraiser this Saturday, March 13 at the Smithfield A&W to raise money for Dietrich Crosby. Dietrich Crosby is a 10-year-old little boy diagnosed with a very rare terminal illness called Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Accumulation (early onset called Classic PKAN). NBIA is a rare, inherited, neurological movement disorder characterized by the progressive degeneration ofthe nervous system (neurodegenerative disorder). The common feature among all individuals with NBIA is abnormal iron accumulation in the brain. (Continued…)
