Sky View High School today named long time Lewiston resident Kimber Hall as the new Head Coach for Girls Basketball. Kimber Hall is a brother to Athletic Director Jan Hall. Kimber Hall the owner of Hall’s store in Lewiston comes from a rich sports background. In a shocking development after a very successful season and having devoted many years as the Sky View Girls Head Basketball Coach, Paul Hansen announced on Friday, April 8th that he was relinquishing his coaching duties. Senior Dannika Webb scored 24 points to lead Sky View’s girls’ basketball over the Woods Cross Wildcats Tuesday morning, 63-50 at Salt Lake Community College during the first round of the 4A state tournament. The Bonneville Lakers swiped a close win from the Lady Bobcats Tuesday night, 47-50. The game was deadlocked during all four quarters. Sky View’s largest lead was 9, which came in the second quarter when the Lady Bobcats went on a 8-0 run to go up 25-16. The Sky View Bobcat Girls and Boys Teams opened up their season with the annual Blue and White Scrimmage on Friday, November 19th. Those games gave the parents and local fans a chance to see both teams in action. The coaches of both teams also got a chance to see their teams in action, and evaluate their progress heading in to regular season match ups that began this week. Starting this September three Lady Bobcats from Sky View will become Rattlers in Colorado. Friday afternoon Aubry Boehme, Taylor Rock, and Nicole Hansen signed letters of intent — and received full-ride scholarships — to attend Otero Junior College in LaJunta, Colorado. “They will only be responsible for books,” said Taylor Wagner, head coach of the women’s basketball team. (Continued…)

The Sky View Lady Bobcats found the end of their tournament run Thursday afternoon, losing to the Snow Canyon Warriors, 59-52. The heavily favored Bobcats found themselves down, 20-8 after one quarter of action and never found their way back on top. On Tuesday night the Sky View High School Lady Bobcats beat down the visiting Highland Rams in a 70-32 first round win of the UHSAA Girl’s Basketball State Tournament and punched their ticket to Salt Lake Community College with the win. (Continued…)

Another game against Logan equaled another blowout victory for the Bobcats Thursday night at Crimson Gym. For the first time this season, the two teams met on the Grizzlies home turf. HYRUM—Thursday night the Sky View Bobcat girls team took on cross town rivals, the Mountain Crest Mustangs. The game was extremely competitive the entire time, with both sides playing hard, and keeping it close. While the Mustangs never held the lead during the game, it was constantly a close game, and even a tied one. All the excitement of the game culminated in the fourth quarter, when the Mustangs made a comeback that made the last few seconds of the game extremely exciting.
