Heartbreaker at home
Emotions ran high Thursday night as Cache Valley rivals Mountain Crest and Sky View met on the gridiron in Smithfield for each team’s final regular season football game of 2009.The game remained close through the first half, but Bobcat mistakes and a powerful Mustang offense allowed Mountain Crest to pull away in the second half, and the Mustangs vacated the field as the victors, defeating the Bobcats 38-17. Old-Fashioned Cat Fight
SMITHFIELD—Anxious Sky View fans looked on Friday night as the visiting Ogden Tigers took a 14-7 lead early in the second half after Ogden quarterback Nik Allred connected with wide receiver Kel Robbins on a 66-yard touchdown pass. With both teams struggling to score points in the first half, the Bobcats 4-game winning streak appeared to be in jeopardy.
