The stage of Sky View’s auditorium was alive with “The Sound of Music” from March 27th to April 5th as the Four Seasons Theater Company performed eight different performances of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic.

A talented troupe of performers took the stage for the multiple shows that were presented to Cache Valley over the past couple of weekends.

Real life husband and wife David and Sarah Huff headlined the show as Captain Von Trapp and Maria Rainer. Rod Lewis very aptly played the part of Max Detweiler, while Afton Lowell brilliantly filled the role of Baroness Elsa Schraeder.

The children’s roles were played by multiple young actors. Karen Wyatt played Liesl, while Nate Bohman and Luke Anderson both performed the part of Friedrich. Madison Jeppson and Sierra Kline tag teamed the role of Louisa. Joseph Newswander and Levi Hopkins each played Kurt. Ellie Ericksen and Brooklyn Andersen both filled the role of Brigitta. Clara Benson and Hannah Johnson took turns singing and dancing as Marta. And, Allissa Bohman and Olivia Younker swithed off in the role of little Gretl.

The music and costumes were a brilliant combination that brought to life an amazing production of a beloved classic hit show.

The Four Seasons Theater Company will bring its next show to life in the fall of 2014 when they perform “The Wizard of Oz”. Auditions for this next show will take place on May 12th and 13th.

Future shows will include the annual favorite performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” in the winter of 2014 and spring of 2015 will bring another Rodgers and Hammerstein’s favorite “Cinderella”.

(Stay tuned for announcements of the dates for these future shows.)
