Agenda: Stone Haven final plat, two public hearings

Two public hearings are scheduled for tomorrow’s city council meeting. The first is over an incentive proposal for planned unit developers. If the developer adds upgrades to their development — brick siding, a clubhouse, covered parking — they can increase the number of units for the development. In the case of a 90-unit development, they could add maybe six more. If the city council passes the amendment, it will be up to the Planning and Zoning commission to work out the details on what features would be rewarded.

The second public hearing is over a proposal to add RV parks and campgrounds to the city zoning ordinance. It would place specific requirements such as requiring them to be a minimum of five acres and contain on-site washing facilities.

Also on the agenda for consideration: final plat approval for Stone Haven development, appointments for the tree committee, authorization to sign canal agreement.

The Smithfield City Council will meet on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 6 PM at city hall (96 S Main, Smithfield, Utah).
